Card making tips
If you have any tips that you would like to share with other card makers then email me@: mail@princesscraftycards.co.uk
1.When embossing first shake perfumed talcum powder over your card. Not only does it smell nice it also prevents surplus embossing powder from sticking. This tip is especially good when working with glitter. - Jennifer 2: Baby wipes! baby wipes are very handy when making cards, I use them for cleaning scissors, wiping my desk after making any cards and cleaning my rubber stamps! Doesn't have to be the expensive baby wipes, the cheap ones from a local supermarket work just as good! :)
3: Stick a peel-off on black card and then using
a sponge dab ink (metallic silver) from an ink pad on top of the peel-off and
all over the card. Then peel off the peel-off - result a black
silhouette of our peel-off. It looks really effective and if you are
careful you can use the peel-off again and again. :)
4: Keep your powder in a large re-sealable sandwich bag. When you have stamped your card, open the bag and put the card in and cover with powder. You can then flick off any excess and heat it. You do not have the problem of powder all over your work surface when working and no awkward pouring back into a little pot. You can then use the little pot to keep things such as eyelets in to stop them getting everywhere! Saves money buying fancy boxes to keep things in! :)
5: Before heat embossing a stamped image try
rubbing your card with an anti-static bag before stamping ,you get less powder
sticking where you don't want it! :)
